This Kroger's has always been my neighborhood grocery store and I am 42 now, As there is no other grocery store on this side of town like there used to be, it will be deviating to the elder people in the area and the immobile people. Some say and I agree that the liquor store should come out and something else such as Starbucks/Tim Hortons type of thing.. The liquor store may bring in some money, however it also keeps certain people from going to that store. Too much negativity especially for kids. I wanna shop with my kids sometimes and just pulling in the parking lot feels as if we have to walk through a jungle just to get to the groceries and then walk back through it to the car. Whole time holding my kids and purse tightly. Update the store and take it out and I can just about guarantee you'd have more people spending money in the store. This would be just another heartbreak, let down, and another loss in Springfield.. stick around and make a difference to our side of town. Everyone else has left.

This particular Kroger location has been there since I was a young child and I'm now 50!! This location is so needed on the Southside for the residents that do not have transportation to get to fresh food!! I'm no longer a resident of Springfield but this issue is still a concern to me!!

I have been going to this Kroger nearly my entire life. I’m 28 going on 29 years old. This Kroger is so important to the south side of Springfield and whatever we can do to keep it I am willing to help!

I have signed every petition that has popped up. And it’s sad to say it feels like no matter how much we sign and show our disapproval it will still be shut down. We have so many people without vehicles that walk to this store from our elderly to less fortunate! I personally go in this store almost everyday sometimes more then one time a day! I refuse to drive to a whole far side of time. It’s not fair to any of us! This store stays busy! Why does everything get taken from the already less fortunate low income communities? LEAVE THIS STORE OPEN. Can we have something??????

If this store gets shut down it will affect everyone in the community and leave the ones that live on that side of town with no grocery stores to shop at! Please think about the elderly and the ones without family that can travel and shop for them. We also have a MRDD guy that lives in the area and he walks to the store....
