I am a proud public school educator who is appalled at the total disregard of the validity of this appointment.

Brown's appointment makes no sense on any level.

Please do not join other Alabama government leaders in their apparent efforts to destroy public education in our state...

This man did not attend Public Schools nor has he set foot in one! I find it ironic that he was against Build Baldwin , but he says he wants to help find a solution for our schools! Perhaps , he would like to spend a day in one of the new Portables and experience the challenges of having one as a classroom.

Bentley makes very poor and inappropriate decisions regarding the people of Alabama.

What's next, putting a Klansman in charge of the Southern Poverty Law Center?

This gentleman has just been appointed to a position with the Baldwin County highway department as a design engineer How can he do both jobs.? Bentley's appointment of Brown to the State Board of Ed. smells of payback to a Baldwin Co. congressman

This man has no business on the state school board because he does not support our public schools. If he didn't attend public school, and his children don't attend public schools, then he doesn't care if our public schools succeed or fail. The governor should be ashamed of this appointment.

One should not let politics interfere with the lives of children.

This gentleman does not have enough experience for this position. I am very disappointed that someone that has never been in the public school sector would even be considered.

"Matthew never attended public school and has stated he will not send his own children to public schools." THIS IS ALL I NEED TO KNOW!

Besides a bad choice it seems he runs afoul of the state's ethic laws, 2 government pay checks.
