This was a bad move Dr.-Governor...he is NOT the right person for the job...he does not have the experience nor is he the right person to support public education in Alabama....we have dealt with this individual in Baldwin County before....quit wasting our tax dollars and do Your job.....

It is one thing to appoint a lesser qualified candidate as a political move. But to appoint a very young, inexperienced home school, anti-education funding Tea Partier is mind blowing. Mr. Brown is uniquely ill-suited for the position. It is analogous to appointing a Baptist Protestant to the Board of the Catholic Archdiocese. Mr. Brown may be a nice guy, qualified to serve on a home school board, or Operation Rescue. But this appointment is incredulous.
This appointment is so awful, the real question is why was such a horrible appointment made in the first place. I doubt our news reporters will investigate that one.

Double hit to public education. Pittman gets his anti-public school acolyte payback for stopping the tax increase for Baldwin County, Meanwhile, Bentley gets a vote to merge the education trust fund with the general fund so they can more easily defund public education. Both a local and state wide double whammy.
