I believe we should really look at this. I know several girls that would enjoy jobs daughters but don't have the blood line to join. What a shame to deprive these girls because a direct line isn't there

When I was a Job's Daughter, the organization was run by the girls, for the girls. The adults were there to support and mentor, NOT override decisions they disagreed with. I support expanding membership to include sponsorship, but even if I didn't, I support this amendment because the GIRLS want it. 80% in favour should not be ignored.

Jobs Daughters is a fabulous organization. Many of my adult friends are girls from Bethel #18 in Edina, MN which brought together young women from over half a dozen "rival" high schools. The only real issues even back in the late '70s was the adults having an agenda that was in conflict with the direction the girls wished to see their organization go in. Despite the strength of the bond of the girls, the Bethel eventually closed. There are adult Masonic organizations and other than for practical purposes of guidance, the adults need to let the will of the girls inform the direction or THEIR organization. Good luck Jobies as you follow your hearts to do the right thing!

With an 80% vote, the girls should win. Besides, the Rainbow Girls have no such requirement. The change would also increase visibility in the community for Masonry.

I am Past Honored Queen of Bethel Number 32, Brookings, South Dakota. I cannot begin to tell you the how having been a member of Job's Daughters enriched my life and that of my family, I was taught the leadership skills, discipline and and many other abilities that allowed me to go on to obtain a law degree, Fraternal organizations are dying out in general. We need to level the playing field to open membership to this wonderful organization to more promising young women.

Shame on our Supreme Adult Leadership for continually being a disappointment

Every adult claims to be involved in this organization "for the girls". If that is truly the case, then we need to listen to the voices of our girls, and reconsider any amendment that they have shown such high favor for. Giving the amendment a second consideration (with the 2/3 requirement still in effect) does not guarantee its passing, and continues to leave the final say in the hands of the adult leadership. However, it sends a strong message to our daughters that we really are "here for them", and that we really do care about their ideas and wishes in regards to this organization. I strongly urge the reconsideration of this amendment at Supreme Session 2015!

Our numbers are dissolving and the organization needs to open its ranks to ALL young girls who want to beling. We can ill afford to be the exclusive community we once were. By not reconsidering this ballot measure, the organization will cease to exist.

Job's daughters is a great and necessary organization for the growth and development of our daughters. Th
ough I believe it's time to open the Bethel doors a little wider to more young ladies who may find their true worth through Jobies.
I am currently Potentate of El Kalah Shriners, and I owe my life in masonry to an early association with Jobies through my granddaughter's who are both Past Honor Queens. It is imperative for the survival the organization, that we do all we can to help it grow.
