This venue is iconic and dear to the LGBTQ community in the US and beyond.

We need to keep our iconic gay meeting places safe

The Eagle in so important to the history of not only the SF Bay Area but the entire community. It therefore must be designated.

This is the site of the wake of my friend who died of AIDS. As a Trans Elder Woman I need this place to be recognized for the historic place it is to many. As @SF Sober Kinkster 2018, a leather/ kink title supporting sober people in the BDSM/Kink communities, the SF Eagle has always had non alcoholic drinks, and specialty herbal sober drinks during fundraisers I have held and participated in that have raised thousands of dollars for at risk youth, the homeless, and other important non profits in San Francisco. I have lived in SF consistently since 1979, and the SF Eagle has been an important part of my life since then to now. Please preserve this historic place.

Please save it! We need our gay bars.!!!

Keep it open, the space is a legendary
