I think all school systems should pay more attention to academic extracurriculars. What I mean by this is that all academic clubs should be broadcasted in schools more then they are, for example most people won't even know about a club that their school has (I have first hand experience with this) that they may be interested in because no one mentions it or talks about it like they may do with basketball and football.

Some ways we can help academic extracurriculars would be to . . .

1) Mention club competitions over the loud speaker during morning announcements and after noon announcements.

2) At the beginning of each year, give a list of all clubs that are available for students, so they know their options.

These may even help further in a clubs developement. With more students, hopefully getting involved with smaller clubs, we could see a increase of donations to a club whether that be food for club meetings/competitons or donations for equipment that a club may need
