Children need a break in school. With all the teaching and all the testing. Every student and teacher needs a time for some fresh air and to re energized. This will make th better learners and teachers.

MEETING TOMORROW: Tuesday Nov. 3rd 5:30 PM at the Osceola School Board Meeting 817 Bill Beck Boulevard Kissimmee FL (School Administrative Complex), we will address our School Board Members during the public commentary section of the meeting regarding the need to restore daily recess for all our elementary school children. Your attendance and/or your public comment in support of daily recess to further this cause would be greatly appreciated. If you attend, please wear a red shirt/ top! THANKS!

They need recess more now than when we were kids we are putting more pressure on our children to learn more and earlier.

Kids need exercise daily. Give them recess they need it so they can be more alert and focused during class.

Children have always been allowed recess while in school. It gives them the opportunity to walk away from their studies for a few minutes and clear their minds. This can help them return with a different outlook. Denying a child's right to recess is taking their childhood away.

my son is 7 he needs recess!!! If you want to get rid of something then get rid of common core! Something that actually needs to go!!!

Been saying this for years with my daughter. Teachers recognise that our students need to let off a little energy in order to stay focused,why can't administrators? I'm sure they take breaks during their work day!
