As a Eucharistic minister in my parish, I would feel more comfortable about this role if all intending recipients had a clear understanding of the requirements for the reception of Holy Communion.

Before changing anything I think it is important for priests to educate (maybe during homilies) and thus prepare the people for change.

I truly believe that when we restore true reverence & respect in the Liturgy especially in the reception of Holy Communion than and only than will we see Mass attendance increase & increase in priestly vocations.

I truly believe that vocations to the priesthood will come when people truly believe in the true presence of Our Blessed Lord's body, blood, soul & divinity in Holy Communion and be taught to give Him due reverence & respect as this teaching has been neglected for years from the pulpit.
