Reception of Holy Communion

Utmost reverence for the Holy Body and Blood of our Lord and God!

I pray that Holy Communion being received on the tongue will become the norm very soon. We cannot overdo respect to Jesus Christ the Son of God. Only in Heaven will we realise our great negligence and disrespect to Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Father forgive us for we know not what we do.

Let's retain the true presence of our lord in the Holy Communion by showing more reverence in the traditional way.

I believe in the True presence of Our Beloved Lord in the Holy Communion !

The Eucharist is Jesus's Body and reverence is to be shown in this great Sacrament.

The Eucharist IS Jesus, God, Creator of the Universe. We have put Him in a Eucharistic granny Flat and put the priest's chair in His place! Shame!

Sometimes the priest administering at Mass hands out the Eucharist like lollies and I am offended by his lack of reverence

It started with the removal of the Tablenacle to a less prominent place.. hidden in some churches... no genuflection.. removal of kneelers... communion in the hand.. Eucharistic ministers... Belief in The Real Presence has declined markedly..

I strongly support the reception of Holy Communion with absolute reverence.

The way we approach the reception of Holy Communion can either increase or diminish the reverence due to Almighty God. We have a duty to receive the King of all kings in the most reverent way possible otherwise, we trivialize him and HIS real presence in the Sacrament.

I would very much welcome the facility to receive the eucharistic Lord on the tongue while kneeling on kneeler/at rail with a paten. Given this is the normal - non indult- way to receive holy communion,and "must be retained" and "the new method...should not be imposed" ( Memoriale Domini, see petition), it seems that provision of at least kneelers and paten is indispensible to stay faithful to these instructions. And to give the Lord due reverence.

Reception of Holy Communion kneeling and on the tongue has delivered many benefits and graces for me. This august and preferred practice should be made broadly available to the young faithful of Australia. I have succeeded in obtaining permission from my parish priest to organise a procession for Corpus Christie in my parish for the first time. Please pray that it does not rain and will be a success paving the way for bigger processions in the years to come

The old way of receiving Holy Communion and that is the best way.

Very true and the big issue is belief in the Real Presence
