Anything to promote the importance of the Eucharist needs supporting. I like how this petition is not forcing the issue but simply asking for the option of kneelers to be considered. At least giving people the freedom to choose and not be forced to receive on the hand. Hopefully this will be a factor in bringing people back to the Church and the Sacraments. We do need a deeper understanding of the Eucharist and more formation is needed in this area around the world. God Bless!

When receiving Jesus in Holy Communion our conscience should be clear and free from any kind of sin..otherwise we make a mockery of the sacred sacrament.

I believe that The Lord Jesus should be referenced well when receiving the Host. I have started to receive the Host in tongue out of respect, after having convictions about it, hence I encourage others to do the same. God bless.

Together with the Church I too favour receiving Holy Communion on the tongue whilst kneeling - which is the most reverent way of receiving Our Lord and Saviour so that not even the least particle of host is dropped. Many people who receive Communion in the hand are very sloppy and don't do it properly. Our Priest is often reminding people about the "proper"way. I think its just terrible. When we are receiving the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings what should our posture be? Kneeling of course!! I also truely believe that only the consecrated hands of a Priest should be touching the host so it is not defiled. We should not be touching it and nobody else should be touching it either. It is sacred - as it is the body, blood, soul and divinity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!

Holy Communion should be received in the mouth only,to acknowledge the true presence of Christ.Any other way is disrespectfull.

Those modern practices is an insult to God and His Church. The Devil has been working hard to make people believe that's it is only a wafer that does not need us to show reverence and respect for the BODY OF CHRIST

This is such an important issue, and needs to be addressed urgently. With St Thomas, we need to say, "My Lord and my God!" and mean what we say, not just in our minds, but in our reverence of bodily posture - kneeling and receiving on the tongue.

Please bring back communion distributed on the tongue. Please bring back altar rails. They do not seperate us from God but remind us of our place as creatures.

I think one of the travesty of the past 40 years has been the lack of reverance shown to our Lord Jesus Christ at Holy Communion and a lack of understanding as to the proper preparation for the reception of Holy Communion.
This must be corrected ASAP.

ALL MY LIFE I RECEIVED JESUS IN THE TONGUE AND KNELT! I BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH IN AUSTRALIA WILL BE BLESSED IF BISHOPS AND PRIEST'S START TO INSTALL IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE THE LOVE AND THE REVERENCE FOR THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS IN THE HOLY EUCHARIST!

Until Communion is made Holy again, sacrileges will abound. Please Bishops of Australia bring back the reverence and respect of the Holy Eucharist so the church may once again grow to bring Peace on Earth and good will toward all men.
This would be a very good New Year's Resolution.
