Indio councilman Sam Torres is launching a petition drive to get a 6% tax on Coachella / Stagecoach tickets the ballot. Councilman Torres will not pay this tax on the free tickets he is provided as a city councilman. Councilman Torres is doing all of this while the City of Indio is negotiating with Goldenvoice on the future of the festival - which Goldenvoice could take to another city without a ridiculous 6 percent tax on tickets. For this reason, we ask that you recall Sam Torres before he ruins Coachella and Stagecoach for all of us.
