A dear friend of mine is currently in an incredible struggle with her family to have a minor sister removed from the custody of a man with a long documented history of abuse. Our justice system exists to protect our society, and who are we when we cannot protect children from the horrors of abuse at the hands of those meant to care for them? If a parent is unfit, the safety of the child should be all of our responsibility. If this judge cannot uphold the basic tenant of justice that we must protect our children from proven and preventable abuses, she should not be allowed to preside over custody cases. It is unconscionable.

There are laws and procedures to keep Judges in line. When they cross that line due to incompetence, arrogance or and agenda, they must be removed by the people they serve. They forget that they are employees of the people. For an elected official, they run as servants, then rule as kings and appoint people such as Graciela Olvera. She is proving that she cannot rule within the merits of the law and I am requesting an investigation into her decisions. If someone who works for me makes proves to be incompetent then they have to look for work somewhere else.

The purpose of Home Schooling is for parents to exercise their tight to educate their children without government interference or government brainwashing. Time for these parents to lawyer up and sue the judge and CPS.

This same judge also allowed for the continued separation of the Tutt children from their parents illegally for no other substantiated reason than that they were home schooling their children even though the parents had fulfilled Texas state law concerning legally home schooling. A higher court overruled finding no substantiation for the continued removal of the children from their parents and that no law had been violated.

It is a judges duty to uphold and rule on law, not to rule on their personal ideology and/or agenda, and not to legislate from the bench. Judge Olvera clearly violated the faith of the people with her ruling and clearly misused her office and authority in this case. She should be removed for this with all due haste and an example made of her to other judges that would be tempted to exercise their power and authority outside of the bounds of the law.
