I, too, am outraged by the illegal ruling of this incompetent "judge." She should be "fired" and loose her license like any other person. If the shoe was on the other foot, I know she would be screaming "racism!!!"

We are experiencing a similar situation as a direct result of Judge Olevera's quick trigger decisions when removing children from their families. My granddaughter was removed from our home this past week and placed in the care of her father whom has a long history of violence, domestic abuse, and substance abuse. Today I picked up my granddaughter from our scheduled visitation and found her bruised, malnourished, and totally exhausted. I am so scared for her well being that all I can do is pray. This precious 2 year old has been loved, nurtured, and encouraged to have a love of people, animals, and God. Today I saw her withdrawn, sad, angry, and unable to walk properly. It broke my heart to see what damage can be done in only 4 days. Judge Olvera made a decision without looking at all of the available evidence regarding her fathers imprisonment for violently assaulting her mother while she was in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy that left her with a fractured skull, a punctured eardrum, severe strangulation bruising, and several broken ribs. This monster then threw her from the car, stomped on her belly while yelling I hope this baby dies, and left her on the side of the road for dead. She was found by the police and transported to a hospital where she spent 2 weeks in treatment. He then fled the state and was in hiding until he was extradited to Pulaski County AR, for indictment and jailed awaiting trial. This same man is currently on probation in Dallas County for a DWI for driving under the influence of Meth and Cocaine. All of this evidence of a destructive and abusive man was disregarded by Judge Olvera and placed in his custody.

This Judge gave my brother custody of his kid, taking her away from her mom... Even though my brother nearly killed the mother of his child in a domestic violence case, and has a long history of drug use. I'm glass my brother has a chance to finally get to know his baby, but I'm still scratching my head. It just doesn't make sense!

This same judge has overlooked a previous judge's order for supervised visitation of a father who not only threatened kidnapping a son, but acted on it. He is also an illegal immigrant with more rights than the mother. The mother is being crucified in court for protecting her son and walking the fine line the judge has ordered. The illegal father has been given chance after chance and Judge Olvera has handed the child back over to HARMS way. If this child gets kidnapped and taken to Mexico, it will be because of HER. How do we Recall a judge and Call for Reform in the Family court?!

Due process gives the client a right to an APPEAL and ask for a new family court and ask for dismissal of this Judge overseeing this case. I would have the local tv station cover this. Judges like this is why we have so many children injured for life. Should be taken to the higher court or criminal court.

I am a resident of Texas and know personally someone effected by the poor decisions of Judge Olvera. When presented with evidence of abuse how can a judge condone custody? It is incredibly disheartening that it is such a challenge to keep a child safe. Please investigate and remove her.

Rogue appointed, not elected, judges such as Graciela Olvera must be removed pending investigation of all her decision at the very least. This case, and the Tutt's children removal case reveal she is sorely lacking in skills to make judgements in family matters.

Lawyers who don't actually know and understand the law should NEVER be allowed to become judges. Based off of her rulings in the Tutt case, Judge Olvera doesn't know Texas law. Or doesn't care. Either way, she should be recalled.

We want an investigation and audit of all cases where protective parents have lost custody of their children because of misconduct of the professionals and organizations who are supposed to protect them.

I feel this Judge let her "power" go to her head. This should never have happened in our state of TEXAS. I agree an audit of all cases involving this judge or any other that made this type of decision that was not justified and was totally unlawful. But she needs to go home and make no more decisions...
