We 'Agape LJS Alumni' with our newly formed association are very concerned (of course upset) with our school's results for the past few years (especially A-level results) – we call upon the school and ELCT Northern diocese officials to take action. We have prepared a letter that will be presented to school to call for a meeting between school & diocese officials to meet with Agape LJS Alumni’s representative to discuss issues that have led to poor academic performance over the last few years. The letter raises some very important questions plus our suggestions on how the current situation may be restored for better.

Please sign your name if you are upset with Agape LJS latest results and would like to be part of rebranding your school. Together with your signature, feel free to provide your comments (we are all upset, please make sure that your comments are respectful enough) as well that will be attached as additional information with our summarized letter. A summarized analysis of Agape LJS’s results – both O and A levels - will be attached as well.

Our goal with this initiative is simple – to come up with joint solutions between alumni, diocese and school officials to make sure Agape LJS becomes the best school once again with the reputable academic performance built to last.

The letter is NOT intended for public view – it is only going to be shared via email and/or in our closed Agape LJS group for a member to read and then provide their online name, signature, and comments (if any).

Updates

July 23, 2014

The feedback provided by alumni in the comments has already strengthened our case significantly. We are currently preparing the final packet to ensure our concerns regarding academic performance are presented clearly to the diocese officials. Thank you for providing the necessary perspective to help us advocate for the future of our school.

The response gathered here confirms that many of us remain deeply invested in the future of Agape LJS. This groundswell of concern provides the necessary backing to approach the diocese with a clear mandate for structural change.

Agape used to be the pride of moshi but now it is falling apart. Admin needs to wake up and start listening to the alumni because we know what went wrong.

Inasikitisha sana kuona shule yetu inashuka kiwango kiasi hiki. Tunahitaji mabadiliko ya haraka kabla hali haijawa mbaya zaidi.

We paid our fees and expected better standards. Its a shame to see such a drop in performance. Lets hope the diocese actually listens to us this time.

Focus on the academics not just the buildings. We need results back.

Where there is no strategic goals, failure prevail. Agape’s goals need to be reinstituted. This has always been my statement to Agape officials but it seems the risk of reinstituting the goals has not been taken; now I remind you that the biggest risk is not taking any risk. Agape must be home of eagles not the weak. Favoritism to protect the weak should not affect us. We should not fear to eliminate the weak from the strong if they fail to meet the minimum standards of the strong. Agape must continue to make us proud forever.

BRING BACK THE OLD AGAPE. The management is just sitting on their hands while grades are dropping for years now. FIX IT.
