I have Julie Bindel's book. It gave me a much wider perspective on the issues surrounding prostitution and those who want to distract from the truths about it. I want a real feminist movement BACK! A movement that actually centers WOMEN and GIRLS! Readings should have defended their event with Bindel instead of caving to bullies. This is truly disgusting.

This situation is a disgrace and should never have happened. The rampant and increasing spread of misogyny and routine no-platforming is the other pandemic about which no-one dares even speak.

It is horrific that staff at a bookshop can be so abused and harassed by people claiming to be supporting others that years after an event the workers want to apologise for holding it. What happened to authors rights to present ideas. Please say sorry to Julie Bindel for rejecting her work.

I'm glad you have removed your apology for the event with Mary Crooks and Julie Bindel. You had nothing to apologise for. From what I hear it was a wonderfully successful event. But you now need to apologise to Julie Bindell. You owe her that. I hope I get to see or hear that Julie is satisfied with your ( hopefully forthcoming) apology. Regards Vivien
