I will never buy another book from Readings again. I truly don’t understand how you can treat a woman like this. You have tried to bury the incident and hope it will go away. Read the room- women in Australia are fed up being bullied, sexually assaulted, ignored. Mark Rubbo you are part of the make cabal that silences women. You’re also a coward. You have refused to make any comment about Bindel’s treatment.

Very disappointed that Readings has not yet apologised to Julie Bindel for behaving so appallingly. Readings was the only place I bought books, but I’m now doing my book-buying elsewhere.

Apologise or this Melbourne feminist will never return to your store. Women are born not worn and attempting to cancel a left wing feminist doing incredible work to pander to a male identifying as a women is misguided and misogynistic.

An apology to Julie would be nice, but I doubt she will ever get one. She is just a woman, who cares about her, is the attitude, from what I can see.

Feminists must be allowed to speak! Trying to change the past, you insulted Julie Bindel and she deserves an apology!

“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.” You were taken in by the trans rhetoric Mark and you knee jerked to their message in spite of your beliefs. Learn from this, don't hide thinking it will blow over because it won't.

Julie Bindel is an amazing woman who is driven by love and solidarity in all that she does. I can't believe how people are treating her on the basis of third party tittle-tattle. You've been foolish. It's not the end of the world - fess up, apologise, and move on.

Please resist the pressure to virtue signal by throwing feminists and feminism under any bus that comes along.

Mark Rubbo is the manager of Readings. Mark Rubbo supports the exploitation of women forced into sexual slavery. He condones it. How do we know this? He deliberately denounced Julie Bindel discussing this issue in his bookstore. Mark Rubbo of Readings supports the sexual slavery of women globally and has no problem silencing women like Julie. He is a menace to society and has no value in a civilised community

Time to do the right thing. This should have been done weeks ago.

Bigotry is intolerance toward those who hold or espouse different opinions from your own. Don't coddle bigots. It emboldens them, and others.

I was at this author talk with my sister. The light Julie Bindel has shone on misogyny and the practical good she has done for women, especially disadvantaged women, is immeasurable. You owe her an apology.

I am a feminist and have no problems with trans women but that’s what they are, they are not women.

Canceling out expressions of opinion is the new way of silencing women and People of Color. Surely, this is NOT the role of a book store!
