No for apartments Yes for single houses because this will add for drainage and traffic problems .

There is no way that the roads can handle this extra traffic strain. This is a safety issue on many levels. The current zoning is insufficient for the current construction. To increase the density is not responsible.

This property can not support that many housing units. The county government is not showing its best interest in the residents of the current Deerfield Residents. I appose the re-zoning of this property on and around the old club house area.

ADAMENTLY OPPOSE! Who will pay for Police and fire coverage? It’s an overwhelmed system. The roads are not eligible as county roads. NO!!

Ingress and egress is definitely an issue, but our total infrastructure is at risk. If 316 units are added, that means there will be about 750 additional cars on our roads. Before all of the new construction started, our roads were barely adequate for the development we already had prior to the new construction. With the addition of Ocean Commons, plus the new construction on the south side of Platt Blvd. and off of Crooked Pine Drive, our road infrastructure will definitely be compromised. Add to that the probable 750 vehicles from this and we will have a disaster. We do not have sufficient drainage and if apartments are built, with the additional concrete for the buildings and parking lots, Deerfield will be in horrible shape. The current zoning, I believe is one house per 1/3 acre. I believe this was changed several years ago, probably because of the problems aforementioned. Please keep the zoning currently set in place. Horry County has already settled one lawsuit due to rezoning, so they obviously felt this is what was best for this area, not only aesthetically, but more importantly for the infrastructure in place.

As i set here in my office at my home on Deerfield ave of ten years writing this comment.I'm watching an average of fifteen cars per every ten minutes at ten am out my front window. Which i might add some that are driving like their on the bi-pass.Hell yesterday i watched someone pass a car right on the speed bump at a speed well over the posted limit. Are we all forgetting the car count we did a year ago for one week that was an average of sixteen hundred to two thousand per day.Not bad for a private road. You know it's bad when you try to exit your driveway anytime of the day and have to wait for traffic to clear.Build all the dam condo's you want and gate Deerfield ave to keep them from using it as a bi-pass from seventeen business to seventeen bi-pass.Hell,when they build these hundred plus homes on the fareways behind our homes, whats a condo or two going to matter. Isn't it enough that Deerfield homeowners who paid premium prices to live adjacent to a golf course have lost their dreams and have seen their property values decrease? Now we are all faced with hundreds of additional single family homes already approved. Our roads and drainage will obviously suffer because of all the new development. We have no choice but to accept the projects already underway but we should not accept rezoning to allow 350+ apartments. Let's all show up at the 10/4/18 meeting and fight this. 913 Plantation Drive

Our roads, which we pay to maintain, are not equipped to handle all this extra traffic. Please keep the zoning as is.

Please no more rezoning. Our neighborhood’s road structure is already at full capacity and crumbling around us!

Please do not continue to ruin our neighborhoods. The residential density has maxed out. Roads must be addressed. We will need a traffic light soon.
