Opening the entrance and allowing use of what was always a public footpath? Seems a no-brainer to me.

Would cut out lots of cross town traffic, thereby easing congestion.

This will benefit me greatly and on a safety aspect willean I won't have to walk over the Dana and castle walk through the park at 10pm when my train gets in ..I will feel a lot safer.

As someone who used to live / work near here, that would make a massive difference to accessing the station. Great idea!

This is a really good idea which the public should get behind.

surely it is up to the TOC to devise a way of making this happen.

Walking should be encouraged. I walk to and from the station from my home at 2, Oak Street, but it is a circuitous journey. The footpath rout would be quicker and easier.

I have raised this issue with our last MP and during the consultation over the Shrewsbury Integrated Transport Package, from the responses I got it appeared to be "too hard".

Anything which encourages walking over car use a good thing: this handy short cut would do this

This would make use of the trains far more practical for those of us to the south of the river.
Seems like a good idea to me.
