I think it is an absolute disgrace and whats more the school use the club as a key marketing tool (as a previous boarding parent I know) - this is now a false sale. They need to re-open this more than ever given their atrocious A-level results which are the worst yet and even worse than last year which were the worst in over 12 years.

Isn't it funny when you look on the charity commissions website that two of the five top earners are paid in excess of £80,000 per year and they happen to also be the directors of the sports club. The headmaster and the bursar are a disgrace to the local community and I am surprised they have been allowed to get away with this. That school has too many skeletons in the closet and one would hope that the closet mah one day spill open and reveal how corrupt they really are and their dirty laundry will be there for all to see.

My husband has parkinsons and has been advised to keep mobile.. As a member of the rishworth sports facilities foe over 30 years we are appalled at the abrupt and unexpected decision to close the club also leaving us out of pocket.

I didn't even get told about it from anyone at the school my next door neighbour told me! Disgusting! And I'm still owed a weeks membership! Please re open!

What a school and what a club! I don't mean that in a nice way either!! The place is going to rack and ruin and only today was the deputy headmaster threatened to be knocked out by ax extremely frustrated fee paying parent - the management is dreadful and needs overhauling before it's too late

The headmaster and the bursar are both incompetent at the highest degree and should be sacked for this ridiculous situation. I have never known such a poorly managed organisation and they clearly think that they can get away with doing what they want. Sending a letter to parents with a bambling rant of a message which still doesn't explain anything just proves that he is a total imbasil. Basil Fawlty could do a better job and the bursar just needs sacking

As it was well used by local residents I would have hoped that the School would have viewed the Sports Club as a valuable route that the School could use to give something back to the community that they operate in. A quick online check of the School company accounts show a healthy before tax profit for 2013 and 2014 which makes their decision to close the Sports Club to local residents even more difficult to fathom.

I really really hope it's possible to reopen the pool we used it all the time and took our baby swimming every week - cannot believe it was shut at such short notice. I would like to know the reason why?

This facility is so important to the community. I used to to take my daughter swimming there every Saturday and Sunday and I was about to join the gym as it is on my doorstep! If it makes the school GOOD money then keep it open!

The school have treated the community exactly as they treat their staff - appallingly!! I know several ex staff who I socialise with who have said that you would be better off with a clown in charge of the business. The Headteacher and the bursar are covering it all up and hoping that the community will simply 'get over it'. Well we wont!!

Although I don't live in Rishworth I have friends and family who do and I often stay in the area. Rishworth Sports Club is a vital part of the lives of individuals and the community. Come on, Rishworth School, apologize and re-open.
