Even if it is only open during 9-5 it is a place of refuge where assistance, support and crime reporting might take place. An open police station gives so much reassurance.

Porthcawl is not a small town and even though Bridgend is a 15 minute drive and if there is an emergency this could make the difference in the outcome, also in the tourist season there is a much higher influx of people) if needed the response would be there not 15 minutes later.

I agree we would all feel much safer if the police station was reopened, seeing police back on our streets is comforting, especially to our elderly friends and neibours

plenty of discussions,what if everyone adding comments got their friends to sign the petition,that would increase the numbers
yes indeed!! holiday resorts need a police station , everything gets taken away from porthcawl and we don't. get a say in it. after all we pay enough rates, council tax to live here for sure! also bring back the bobby on the beat as well!! having said that porthcawl PCSO's are top notch fair play!! well done

porthcawl is a busy thriving seaside town! The winter months have been farely busy for the police, so who knows how crazy porthcawl will be this summer!

It is vitally important that the police station is re-opened. Although a small town, we have a large number of visitors and the provision of a police station is both a deterrent to those who intend to commit crimes and to support and keep the rest of us safely.

Porthcawl will not be a safe family place in the summer months if the police station is not opened. An accident waiting to happen. So much for Labour controlled.

it is a disgrace....as witnessed by the horrible attack at the weekend,the Clock Shop armed hold up,the simple fact that police are not in Porthcawl (a factor used by criminals) time it was sorted out .
