with the increase in the council tax, there shouldn't be any question of opening the station.

I cannot believe they have shut the Police Station , esp with recent events that have gone on in the area . Fair enough if it went part time but to shut it completely is ridiculous

Porthcawl triples in size during the summer given the tragic murder recently, constant vandalism by drunken revellers waking home / back to holiday accommodation , and burglaries ( because the criminal fraternity know Porthcswl is an easy target) They must re open and staff the Police station to fully address the crimes Porthcawl residents are victim to on a daily basis

Its a disgrace that a town with such an influx of holiday makers and day trippers has no police station,and our Fire Station is also closing, shameful.

First the fire service now the police. you can't make cuts to EMERGENCY services.

i think it is ridiculous an area the size of porthcawl having no local police station around especially with summer coming i feel for residents and shop owners this summer
