If this bridge was at Balmoral it would be repaired. Very poor decision affecting connectivity for local people. Get the bridge fixed

West Cairnton Steading, AB31 5AS.
I stay in Drumoak and have relatives and friends in Durris. Reopening the bridge to light traffic would be a huge boost to both communities.

Aberdeenshire Council need to re-open this bridge as it is an important community and business link between Drumoak and Durris. The council also need to sort out their bridge maintenance programme.

This bridge is a necessary part of the infrastructure for connecting these rural communities. With no bus links to Durris running anymore (and they have always been shockingly inadequate) locals need access to Drumoak to utilise the North Deeside road bus route. This gives acces to a local shop and amenities where there is none in Durris. The closure of this bridge does not take into account the close links of these two communities.
