If it was a section of road they’d fix it.

The loss of Park Bridge to light vehicle access has divided the community of Drumoak-Durris in half and also put Drumoak increasingly isolated from our ward councillors and local police in Stonehaven and Lower Deeside as this was the only bridge connecting us without our ward area.

I have lived locally for over 10yrs and used the bridge many times. It is a vital link for communities & businesses on both sides of the river. Having attended one of the local consultation events which the council held about the bridge, I was appalled by the lack of maintenance that the council has given the bridge over the years. Had they taken more care, the closure to motor traffic would not have been required. If Aberdeenshire Council think that Park Bridge is a sacrifice worth making, they are going to find a community united against them!

This is currently a much missed link across the river and should be reopened for light vehicles
