I think this would be a great memorial to Maddie and would be proud that the field is named after her. I didn't know Maddie, but she seemed to embody the spirit of Medway High School and its athletes.

As a former Medway High School student, I also experience the tragic death of two schoolmates. I think that remembering young people in this way is important to the grieving process for their peers and that they shouldn't be forgotten. Everyone has an impact.

while decisions like these are never easy this young lady represented student athletes everywhere and so much more. if there is not a worthy counter proposal then this should move ahead without hesitation.

I am truly sorry, Susjdnx Gjfh, for any anger that this hath brought forth to you. We saw the field as the best representation of who Maddie was, her character, and the best way to carry on her legacy. Maddie's impact on many lives was evident on and off the field but the field being her home. For any other friends or families of those who have since passed, I would be in full support of memorializing an aspect of the community that individually expressed the person they were. This is to mean no harm and I hope this finds you in good standing.

This petition is serving as a place to show support. If you oppose, that is okay; but cowardice in stating your opinion is not. At least have the courtesy and dignity to express your opinions without feeling the need to hide behind a slammed keyboard in place of a name.

Maddie was a bright light up at the high school and in our community. Her light will continue to shine for future generations of Medway High School student-athletes if the South Field is named in her honor.
