Judge Itchakawa granted very liberal visitation to my daughter giving her children to her for the entire summer and every weekend when she was homeless severely drug addicted. There was her own self disclosure she would walk neighborhoods at night knocking at random homes asking if her and her children could sleep for the night. Or break into abandoned homes to sleep. Fortunately she had just enough sense not to do that with the children. But the outcome could have been very dangerous under this Judge's foolishness

these judges need to realize what they are doing to these children and see what is best for the children

It's nice to know I'm not alone on this issue. I was bashed and had my son taken from me for a period because his father had a therapist write out a letter to the judge for him and I wasn't given a chance to speak even though I was the one who asked for the hearing.

Family court is the most biased, punitive sector of our legal system. Solano County, among others, is in need of a serious overhaul!

No one should be allowed to go to a state that none of the parties even reside in to get a verdict in their favor. Shameful!

Ichikawa should have been removed from the bench a long time ago. If you are a woman in front of this judge, you may as well kiss time with your kids goodbye, because he will adopt ALL proposals from the father and even dismiss and overlook UCCJEA laws, as if they do not exist.

Judge Ichikawa has blatantly disregarded the UCCJEA and continues to make decisions contrary to testimony and evidence presented at trial in a manner that can only be described as bias or incompetence.

I don't think a court ordered mediation is going to solve anything, Especially if it's the 3rd time you are instructed to go to mediation before the judge will even hear your case. Then there is no time to hear your case, so you get pushed out another 4-6 months on the calendar. by then, whatever your issue is has probably escalated, causing further problems. if the 2 individuals could work things out, they wouldn't be there. Vicious circle

Judge Unger refused to look at any proven documents regarding my case, and ultimately removed her from my care permanently. She showed extreme prejudice against me as a mother.

All the judges in family law need to be looked into.

Judge Unger did the same thing with my daughter. Completely pushed aside that her dad had JUST gotten out of rehab. Good luck to you, you're in my prayers

It seems as though these comments are posted mostly by women. Therefore I take it as these are single women dealing with every day struggles to take care of their children. Somehow these judges favor the absentee father's. If they were the good father's they claim to be no one would end of in court. Women tend to keep their children close when they are the sole providers....PROVIDERS! If these father's want 50 percent of the time, it should be 50 percent financial responsibility as well.

These judges are supposed to protect children and they are handing them over to abusers. Something needs to change.

There needs to be an independent overview of judges decisions. This needs to go statewide.

I couldn't agree with this more. Although i strongly believe judge Unger should be added to the top list. I've had nothing but problems with her and she sides with felon fathers over hardworking stable mothers.

I feel Judge Unger doesn't hear the side of mother's or take heed to any domestic violence issues from fathers or drug abuse issues against fathers nor disobey of court order on fathers behalf. She will award un necessary and unobtainable time to fathers that do not live in the area. She had made bias rulings and only weighs in the side of the father.
