Object to all these changes when there is a new head of school starting aswell. Is it really necessary?

I strongly believe that the current timetable will have much more benifits than the new so please don't change the timetable I believe the dicision to change should come from the people you pay to go to Redlands College not the board

This decision does not seem well researched. Even at University there are breaks for stretching / bathroom / and to mentally refresh. I fully support the initiative to oppose the proposed changes.

I am currently studying a post graduate subject in teaching and learning as part of my Mental Health Master’s Degree, and I agree the length of the new lesson times will cause issues with concentration levels and will result in dis-engagement and poor motivation, which will deeply impact on the learning process. Additionally, the need to move frequently is important for both your physical and mental health and wellbeing (it is also essential for integration of what is being learnt too!). There is a lot of research to back up all these points. These changes will be detrimental for your learning and therefore, I agree the lesson times need to remain the same. If the school is unwilling to reconsider, then they need to incorporate scheduled breaks within the new lesson times.

Bc u know... the school wants us all to commit suicide halfway through a double:)) keen for the bleach chugging contest
I feel the classes will be too long. Don't change!

I believe changes such as this should be communicated with the people that pay for the school, the parents.

I believe we should be aloud study halls as it is an important period to allow students who are falling behind on subjects, catch up.

More consideration and discussion needs to be made for such a large decision. It is very disappointing that the school has put this in place without student and parent envolvement.

There's been no negotiations or discussions with parents. I think 1hr 40min attention span for many students will be a struggle especially the younger grades. As for having the same class group & teacher from yr 6-12 has anyone considered personality clashes & if a child doesn't like a teacher or far worse to then have them for 7.yrs

This is actually quite ridiculous. I know that these sort of changes would have negatively impacted me during my time at Redlands, so I can definitely see why they need be stopped.
