Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

We pay for the cost of books and materials so we should have a choice on which we prefer, the e-bok or paper. My eyes are bad and the e-books are not easy for me to read so I do not like them.

YES. I do need text books.

I work on my computer and take a full load of online classes it would be a break for my eyes to not have to look at a screen. I also like to be able to highlight and page through information physically. I would like to keep books available. I dislike ebooks tremendously!

I would like to have the choice to keep a regular book. My eyes hurt after a while from the computer so I have to take frequent breaks and this is causing precious time to be waisted from my studies. If I had a book I could read longer without the eyestrain that I get from the computer.

I HATE ebooks!! Would take a paper copy any day of the week.

I prefer paper books, I do not necessarily care for ebooks. The ebooks are more of an inconvenience for me because I like the physical ability to take my paper book with me as needed. I understand that I can read the ebooks on my tablet or phone, but the small lettering and possible loss of internet connection is dumb. It should be our choice as we are the ones that are paying for the book.

I would rather keep getting text books instead of e-books.

I personally do not like ebooks. I would much rather have the book in my hand. We are paying for the books and we should have the choice between ebook or standard books.

Having a hard copy of what I am learning. It helps me to grasp the information.

I find for studying it is much more convenient to have a paper book over trying to study from an e-book. Several classes even recommend a side by side study technique. It's also much easier to read when traveling or at places when an internet source isn't an option. Although it is easy to assume all students have access to smart phone and tablets, that's not always true. I always return the e-books in exchange for the paper copies. We should have a choice.

It should be my choice, my money, my learning style

eBooks are not useful for students who rely on public transportation. Sometimes my bus ride is an hour or longer and I like to read for school while on the ride. If I can only use eBooks, this means that I have to pull out my laptop, which is not a good idea when waiting or riding the bus. I also spend 8-10 a day working on my laptop at work, and find that my eyes need resting when I get home. If you switch to eBooks only, I will be subjecting my eyes to uneceesary strain. In the end, it should be up to the students to decide which method, eBook or physical, is best for him or her.

Many of the teachers don't allow laptops in class, how are we supposed to access our ebooks. Also I don't have a tablet and trying to read the books on a desktop computer or laptop is hard on the eyes and difficult.

I don't like the ebooks either. I hate that I have to search to find a topic and it never gives me the right place to go so it takes forever just to find what your instructors want you to read about. I like actual books because they are easy to navigate and I don't have to worry about having my computer with me at all tiimes and making sure my internet works too.

They should really care about the students needs. Not just the money. I can't do ebooks, staring at a computer screen irritates me.

I hope they still give a choice for hard copies. If not, I'm assuming I'm not the only unhappy student.

I want physical books!!! Easier to take places with you and read not looking on a screen
