Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

let us choose!

I spend enough time in front of the computer. I want my physical text book.

we have the choice bettween hard cover to ebooks. for my slef i don't really like ebooks at all. and the last quarter i struggled cause of my job tp access my ebook. it's our money so we have a choice, so i totally agree with you guys about the ebooks so the college has to figure out how to relace it with another option.

We should have an option to choose what book usage we want!

I want to be able to have regular books! I also like being able to read while at work when it is slow, and since I cannot go on the internet, having a real book allows me to study for class while at work, or waiting for an appointment.

I personally don't want to go "all e-book". It can be a huge hassel having to pull out my laptop everytime I need to use my books. It's my choice wether or not I want a hard copy or e-book. I'm the one that pays for it. Does it really matter how you read your book, as long as your reading it.

ebooks are a money making object for Rasmussen and stunt my learning capability. Very disappointed in Rasmussen College!!!

Some people don't have access to an e-reader, and it is unfair to make them read on their laptops if they don't want to. This should be an option not a forced decision.

I prefer physical books over the ebooks and have requested them since finding it possible to switch. If we pay for book as student then the decision should be ours as to what form we receive.

I work much better with hard copy books. I hate having numerous tabs when trying to do homework as well.

I like the e-books, but I also like have the physical book as a reference.

I do not feel ebooks should be a requirement, as it is hard on the eyes to have to stare at a computer screen for numerous periods, nor am I able to carry my computer with me wherever I go whereas I a book I can. Also if there are issues with the computer, I am still able to have my book on hand to use. Let the students have a choice of choosing a hard book or an ebook as I feel this is a freedom of choice.

I agree, we students should have our choices with our books, because we do pay for everything, and personally I would rather have a physicial book in hand cause it is much easier for me to navigate through...and like some of the other students, I do not like having to be on my computer all the time, and for some of us, we cannot afford to go out here and buy an iPad or Kindle to access the ebooks. I say "LET US HAVE OUR CHOICE"!!

I believe that if we are being charged for books, we have the right to choose. Who is the school to decide which way is best for me to learn? Rasmussen increased our book charge per class and are limiting our learning experience. I want and deserve to look at my books after graduation to brush up on topics. With EBooks, they expire after graduation. How is that going to help me??

I personally like text-books and learn better when I have a text book.

i love having a hard copy of the text book. it helps in understanding it since i can have it in my hot hands and make notes and high light and while there are those tools on the computer to do the same thing, nothing beats having the text book copy and doing those things...and carrying a lap tap around could compromise our security if it gets lost or stolen and then the time to wait to replace it...its easier to replace a book than a lap top...

A lot of us learn a lot better through the use of a hard copy book. It would be in the best intrest of the students and the future of the college if you did not go to all ebooks. Remember, the students are the only reason that you have a job and if they are upset, they will find another college to attend. The choice is yours, but we are the ones paying for this education so please take this to heart before doing away with hard copy books.

I like hard copy books, because I can bring them where ever I need to be.

I feel we should have our own option on whether or not we should have an ebook or not. I like my physical book because it is easy to carry around with me. I think we can all agree that life is not cheap, so therefore I am not going to go out and buy a $150-$200 tablet just to read my textbooks on so I don't have to bring my laptop everywhere with me. It is too much of a hassle. Everytime I get an ebook, I always exchange to a physcial book because there are much easier to read and also do not hurt my eyes trying to read through my book!
