Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

Physical books are much easier to use than e-books, and students should certainly be able to choose between them.

I get tired of reading through a screen, I would prefer paper books.

Physical books are absolutely essential to my learning at Rasmussen. It happened to me last quarter where I wasn't formally contacted to explain that I would no longer get paper books but ebooks and I couldn't believe this. I was on the last day to return my ebooks for physical copy and while in tears from frustration and hours spent trying to figure out a way to "return" the ebook to recieve a paper copy like all of my other courses. Not only was I given to multiple people but I was eventually told that no one could help me. I was in tears of the hours it took to get my paper books just to find out no one even knew how to help me. I was transfered to the manager at Rasmussen, to advisors, to the online support, then to the actual website where you get the books! IT IS OUR RIGHT as students to CHOOSE before the school DECIDES for us whether we want ebooks or paper copy. This should not be a matter of COST as the books and fees are built into our tuition. This NEEDS to happen immediately!

I really do not want to go to all e-books. I can not look at a computer all day long to be able to study.

I agree that we should be able to have the option of having a book and not an ebook.

I believe that ebooks can be harmful due to the staring at the screen. As an AccelleratED student, I spend 12-15 hours staring at the screen now, and would rather be able to sit on the couch with my book and study.

I completely agree, I want the option of having a physical textbook instead of an ebook. I don't have the option of bringing my tablet or laptop everywhere I go, but I can bring a traditional book anywhere.

With the amount of reading required for classes, it can be harmful to the eyes to read on a computer screen. Please do not take away the physical books because this could result in issues with the eyes, more headaches etc. and could have an end result of lower GPA's for students. Thanks!

The only reason I chose this school was so I could go to school online and still recieve hard/physical books. If I knew that they we were going to be forced to have ebooks I never would have picked this school!

Ebooks are not user friendly. I like to have a book in my hand, so I can page back and forth when needed. I have one class right now that only offers the e-booki and I am doing terrible in that class because of it.

Actual books are so much easier to read, take notes and study! Please let us keep actual books!!

No matter what course I have, I always switch to physical text books over E-books, as they are easier to work with and I can also have them for my future reference. In my opinion, e-books are such a hassle and physical text books have so much more of a postitive use for myself!

Technology has become the greatest distraction these days. Being able to leave it behind at times is actually quite liberating. Ebooks are great for convienece but I am from and LIVE in a SMALL TOWN. WIFI isn't everywhere for me. For everything to be online, I can only do my schooling in my home. For me, Ebooks wouldn't be convienent they would be a lock and chain to where ever I can find an online connection.
