Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

Id rather have a paper based book. I dont own a tablet so I would have to try and read every thing off my laptop. plus I want the books so I can reference back once I graduate an

I agree, e-book is not for everyone I perfer a book that I can always go and look back at it again even after the class is over

I personally am not a fan of the e-books as I find the application used for reading them extremely hard to use. Other e-reader applications such as Adobe are a lot more user friendly. I'd really like the opportunity to choose what type of book I receive because of this. I'd also like the option of getting a bundle of both the paper and e-book so I can use both. paying for it so why not allow us total freedom of choice.

I agree, assignments on the computer are enough, I need a hard back book to be most effective in my studies. I work on computer 9-10 hours per day and will have much more strain on my eyes if ebooks are mandatory. Great way to help us voice our opion guys. Thanks so much for giving me the platform to do so. NO TO E-BOOKS!!!

Not a fan of ebooks

I think E Books are great for those that can handle staring at a computer screen for hours on end, however I and many of my classmates are not. I know for a fact there are several students that cant due to medical issues. If students dont have access to physical copies of books then what are we going to do when our computer goes down? Or the website goes down? Or the internet/electricity goes out??? We have no way of doing our coursework, if we dont have our physical books.

Please do not convert all books into ebooks, thank you!

If I am paying for my books, I need hard copy books. I am not going to pay for a book twice (Ebook and to print it) so I have a physical copy of the book. It is ridiculous to think we cant make this decision on our own circumstances.

I am not a fan of ebooks, in fact I think that students should have an option as to whether or not they are even issued ebooks. It is a bit of a hassle to wait till classes start and then return the ebook, and wait for a week or more at times to receive the hard copy.

I do not like e-books because you can only keep them online for like 3 - 5 years, and I’m big on keeping all my books since I paid for them. I’m upset that a couple of my books are e-books because eventually I will not be able to access to them anymore. I have a hard time reading books online. It really hurts my eyes, and I don’t want to strain my eyes and make my eyes worse. I pay Rasmussen lots of money to get a good education, and I work and get better grades with real books and I feel that I learn better. I pay Rasmussen; I should choose to get the real book. I don’t want to pay for an online book.

I agree the physical books are much easier to use rather than ebooks

I personally prefer books over ebooks simply because I like reading and I cant stare at a computer screen for long periods of time to read! I also get migraines from looking at a screen for too long!

To me it depends on the class, math book....yeah don't plan on keeping that. if I cant add, subtract, multiply and divide by the time I graduate, I have issues. But, I want the option to have my design, art and other texts that will help me further down the road. After all it is MY money and MY education.

Physical books are easier to reference. That and I like having them physically on hand even when the class is over. You have NO IDEA how many times I have opened my Anatomy book, a year after class ended!

I hate ebooks. They are so hard for me to read and understand. I like to flip through pages and highlight and make notes off to the side. My computer screen is just way to small to see everything on an ebook. Plus I don't have the extra money to spend on a tablet or an e reader. Let us decide.. it is our future we are dealing with.

I like my physical text books because I can highlight the important information and review or reread it before a quiz or exam. WIth ebooks I feel like I am always looking at a computer screen, and have to take many more notes. I also do not agree with ebooks because if I am physically handing the school money I should be able to physically have a book in front of me that I paid for.

I work a full time job and it is hard to read off of a computer screen after stairing at one all day long.
