Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

I agree that e-books are too diffacult to use. I would preferthe real book.

Need to have a hard copy books. I do not like ebooks. Please let us have the option to choose

I believe that they do should ask students if we want E-books or physical. I love to hold my books and not print out pages.

I learn better using a physical book I also like to highlight the important areas and so forth. I also don't have access to internet all the time with my travels

I cannot use ebooks because I travel a lot and cannot gain access to the internet. I paid for paper course material in my financial agreement and would like to keep that going for future students.

I learn much better when i have a physical book in front of me that i can flag and highlight, there may be those features on an e-book, but it is no where near the same.

I was just complaining about the same thing; Im happy someone decided to start a petition.

I don't like to use ebooks, neither do I like to read my textbooks online. I prefer paper textbooks and it should be our choice how we want them after all we are paying for them. They should also provide the correct materials since we are paying for them. I'm very disappointed with Rasmussen because the textbooks that come with CD programs are only for Windows they don't have mac.

I want my physical book... I pay for it I want it and not this tempory rental crap.

I would rather read from a book rather than stare at a computer and hurt my eyes. If I sit outside and read it is hard to see a screen but with a book it is easy to bring anywhere if I have time to read it. I focus and do better with an actual book.

I always prefer physical textbooks, as I cannot access a computer at my full-time job.

After working on a computer all day, it is so nice not to have to read an eBook on a computer screen. I love having a hard copy of my textbook. I like being able to hold a book and mark it myslef, without having to type anything. I am a hands-on learner and I think having a physical book really helps me with that process. Having the option between an eBook and a hard copy book is so nice. Please keep it!

i find the ebooks a lot harder on the eyes to read. I also feel I am more focused when reading from the book rather than the computer. I would rather have a regular textbook then these ebooks.

I do not like ebooks I really like the option of having a hard copy. One reason being that staring at the computer screen for too long gives me migraines. Second, I have a 5 year old and I like when I can sit and read my text and when she has a question or needs something I am able to put a bookmark where I left off, helping her out and then getting back to my reading. I feel that us as students and who are paying for it should have an option on whether or not we want ebooks!

The E-Books are awesome when I am on the go and am able to log into the online coursesmart ap. on my smart phone, however I know I do better with a hard copy book. When I have the physical book in front of me I am able to view and retain information differently than online. I like to highlight and write notes in my books to help retain information. I didn’t even know that I already had an option to have the paper books because the e-books come automatically with every class and it sounds like a headache every time I hear about someone trying to get the hard copies. The E-books would be better if more up to date, but I don’t think it is fair to keep the physical books from us. In the future if I want to look back at the information I won’t have a physical book and my E-book will have expired. Even if I save a version, my computer may not be with me in the future, but I know physical books would be. Also I could print the pages, but I do not have that much ink and at school it will always print black (who wants to print off 300 pages a week in front of everyone else though?- Plus I need colors)

I do not like ebooks and would appreciate the option of hard copy material for my classes that I am paying for not to mention the fact that I am paying for the books as well. I keep my books to refer to for multiple classes. I also like to highlight information in my books, again my books I should have the choice.

No E-Books please

I think we should have a choice in the matter! For me, there are time when paper books are more appropriate. Being in the health field there are times when I need to go back for reference so, having a textbook is better for me.
