Rasmussen College to keep physical books as a part of all courses

I agree. We are paying for "materials" which to me should include an actual textbook that we can use! The ebooks are far more trouble than they are worth. They work when they want to and we should not be paying for something we do not even get to keep. I feel VERY strongly about this.

I feel it should be our choice, like most, I like to have the physical book right in front of me instead of reading from a screen.

NO to ebooks! physical books are still the best because it doesn't strain my eyes the way computers or tablets does.

I want to keep physical books. I do not like eBooks, because I like to be able to have the book in hand to read. I have a hard time reading eBooks, and it's not good to read on a lap top or tablet for long periods of time. Please keep the physical books!

I prefer a physical copy of my course materials because I have difficulty in reading ebooks. I don't have a tablet or ereader and I don't have a laptop during the day to do my homework. The physical book lets me keep up when the internet is not available.

As a Minnesotan, I lose power and internet connections during the most inopportune times, and as a busy working mother who also happens to be a student, I find myself doing schoolwork in the most unusual places. Physical books enable me to study, regardless of where I am and what conditions I am facing. Please do not take the choice to obtain a physical book away.

I dislike eBooks for three reasons: 1 - I have to carry around electronics to read it and that's not always feasible. 2- I want to be able to highlight, dogear and refer back to the book whenever I want. 3 - I'm paying full price for an eBook yet I don't get to keep it. If I'm paying a huge sum for a book that will be outdated soon anyway due to version upgrades, I should at least get to keep the book. If I HAVE to have an eBook then it should be much much cheaper. They don't have to use resources to create a new PDF - once it's entered in, there's no more work on their end. To pay full price for something not truly mine is not fun.

I am personally against straight ebook as well for the same reasons, at work my employer will not allow it, ot the bust that is not cool. I am 250% against it and I hope we have enough signatures to stop that change.

I would rather carry around real books than have to read everything on a screen. I get frequent headaches and I don't think it is fair for everyone to have to use Ebooks. It is a hassle to have to return the ebooks and then wait for real books to come in the mail, and this usually happens the first week of class.

physical books should be available to those of us who study and do better in classes when we have a hard copy book. Some of us like myself do not have a personal computer at my disposal making ebooks an extra challenge.

I am a mother of two and cannot have my face glued to a computer screen for hours. Istarted school here because yoi werent using only e-books but i fear I will habe to transfer to a dofferent school of this petition does not work.

I don't think it is fair that we would not be given the option. All of the staff at Ramussen say they want their students to succeed and yet we are not given the oppurtunity to use text books. I find that I learn better with a text book and e-books give me a headache and I cannot concentrate. Please give us the option.

We are paying for our education, therefore we should have the right to choose an e-book or a physical book. I like to "disconnect" sometimes and that is not possible when you are stuck to your computer for hours on end reading assigned chapters. Please, Rasmussen, allow us (the students) to have a physical book. I personally learn more when I have a physical book, I have ADD so once I click the mouse and turn the page on an e-book, I do not remember anything that I just read. If you truly care about your students, you will allow to have physical books. Thank you.
