I hate ebooks

I would prefer text books over ebooks simply because it hurts my eyes after a while of reading continuously on a computer or tablet. I actually have to copy and paste a lot of my material, that is not in PDF format, to Word and then print. Which takes up a LOT of ink and paper. It can be very costly to do this, but I have to so I can read it better. Yes, we all use a computer, but to have to read a large amount of information is very strenuous on the eyes when reading on the screen. I vote for good ole; fashion text books myself.

We should have the right to choose what type of books we pay for! I prefer to have the actual book.

I can not stand the ebooks! Please give us the choice of having our books.

Physical books wer can keep throughout our career. E-books run out with a subscription. If they offered both, I can see the advantage, but limiting ourselves is assinine.

I can not study with a book on the computer and I get headaches if I stare at the computer screen to long. Keep the physical text books

I would must rather have the physical book. I personally can not stand the ebooks. I am online student and work on a computer all day long and would like to have a book for reading. It is much easier on the eyes. We are paying for the books and should have a choice. I try to do my reading while on my lunch hour and a physical book makes it easier to deal with along with being able to highlight and make notes. I retain information better by having the books to reference while doing assignments and would prefer to have for future references.

I do not care for the eBooks. I do not appreciate having to be stuck to a screen constantly. This is not setting a very good example for my daughter. She needs to know that there is more to life than screens. I know technology is the future and it is important to understand how to navigate, but it really should be up to us to decide how we want to learn. It is difficult to just pick up where you left off, for me anyway. Does anyone know what the price difference is? In reality, we are only renting the book and paying for the rental. I feel that if the price is significantly less for renting - which it should be - then the eBook may be of more value to me. Everything I do is on a computer and it is nice to get away from it for a while to read.

I would prefer to have the physical book to read rather than the ebook. I learn better by reading and paging through a physical book. Besides some of these books we will only have acess to while we are in the class. I would like to have the book for reference in the future and that will not happen with the ebook. You will pay for it in your tuition and then again if you want the physical copy later. I think we should at least have the option.

I personally get headaches from reading all of my text online. I wear glasses and that is not the problem. After staring at a screen for hours every night it takes a toll and your head and eyes.

I am not a fan of ebooks and I would rather have an actual book to take with me or just move to a more comfortable chair. I can flip through the pages of an actual book, make notes, etc. My eyes also start to hurt from staring into a computer screen.

Students should have the option!

No doubt in my mind, i would much rather have a book. I do not like the fact i cannot keep my book for one when i am paying for it. It is also much easier for me to study for long periods of time. My eyes hurt from staring at the computer screen and also alot of places still do not have proper plug ins to keep computers charged

ebooks sre horrible for learning and we pay dame price and lose them after 2 years... are we not electronic enough?

I like physical books better than the ebooks. It is easier for me to learn and study from a physical book.

I hate ebooks. I am very limited on time and sometimes I have a 20 minute block to read. That is how long it takes just to open my computer get logged in and to the place where I need to be and then I have to just shut down. Plus I don't don't care what the school says about highlighting in an ebook it is not the same. Plus when you are tired it is very hard on the eyes to stare at a computer screen. I am a completly online student so it is not that I am against technology but old fashion books are much easy to use and I learn more from them.

Keep physical books..

Since we pay for the books I want hardcopy books, not e-books. The ebook I had doesn't seem to have the full page where there are pictures and a caption, they do not show up. Plus it's harder for me to to concentrate on electronic books, nor do I have access to the internet everywhere I go. Stuck at the airport last week because of weather. Lost almost two days I could've used a hard copy book.

I prefer text books, it is hard to concentrate with a electronic book. I need a physical book. We sit at the computer screen for every class and we need a break. Reading a book in another space gives our eyes a break from the light on the computer screen. Please let us keep the text books.

I want books, I paid for them not for a book download.
