The Aptos Twin Theater has been a MAIN source of entertainment for many years for those of us who live in the local area. The closing of our cinema, without any notification or communication is making a statement that your organization does not care about the wellbeing of the local community.

We have many fond memories of this theater & feel it should not be closed. This community & our children deserve an accessible local theater. Please reconsider this closure!!

It is a shame to have a great community resource like this lost.

A favorite date night, especially close to Aptos restaurants and our home closed recently without any warning. The almost-new seats were hauled out...we had found the renovated theater comfortable and it was a great part of our community. Please no more surprises... I, for one, would like a refreshed Safeway, not much larger than the present one, and a facelift for the shops. A better retail mix would also help... Rite Aid is not a pleasant experience, but Ace is handy and might be expanded....

Dear Mr. Walton, I've lived in Aptos and the vicinity for over 20 years and love the community here. I've been a patron of Rancho Del Mar shopping center for all of that time, it's a wonderful place and convenient for me to shop. My husband and I were avid movie goers at the Aptos Theater. I can't begin to express my frustration and disappointment on the decision to not renew their lease. Please think about the community you are effecting, we deserve respect in the policy and decision making here, since we are the ones directly effected. Please consider holding open meetings for the planning of the redevelopment of our little Aptos community. Regards, Lynn Ramirez

Dear Terramar: You might have made a better impression on this community if you had welcomed some dialogue between us regarding the plans for OUR Rancho Del Mar center. Instead, you have caused us to distrust you. Not a great relationship so far.

Mr. Walton, Aptos is a small community with many residents who are interested in being involved with the planning process. Please try to include and not alienate these caring neighbors. Respectfully Steve Nelson

This theater has been around since I was a child. It is one of the only places in Aptos for our youth to go have fun in a safe environment. Please don't close it!

Please consider the needs and wants of the Aptos and Santa Cruz communities. We do not want to be another California strip mall. Preserve the unique qualities that draw so many to visit our town and county. Thank you.

shame on you for taking away our local theatre! It has meant a lot to this community for so many years.

The new landlord will probably sub-divided the square footage to get more $ per sq. ft. As was said in The Godfather by Abe Vagoda "IT IS JUST BUSINESS!!"

The loss of this cinema is a disaster for those living in the Aptos area. There are few enough cinemas showing interesting movies...

I have lived in this county for 32 years and here in Aptos. I will NOT be supporting this on ALL LEVELS.

I loved the theater and am dismayed you did not keep it. I am sure the food vendors who benefitted from the foot traffic are feeling the pain too. The dumpy obviously needs a complete renovation. Please hold meetings to get your customers inputs! It would be great to work together. Sincerely, Jean Anderson
