Yelp reviews of Safeway are abysmal, this center is likened to a slum and ghetto. The center is in dire need of a makeover that better represents the quaint yet desirable neighborhood.

Dear Mr. Waton, Terramar Centers,
Aptos is a small community which fervently cares about the plans of the planned growth and changes to it's community. I strongly encourage you to have public meetings regarding Rancho Del Mar shopping center to be involved in this community and discuss your vision.

It is terrible that we have lost our cinema which played sophisticated films. As a senior, I went weekly to the movies; the parking was easy and I could walk if I chose to. We loved our theater in Aptos!

Aptos has many elderly residents. We will miss the theatre as it was very convenient and safe for us . We loved the theatre! So sad!

As were so many, I was saddened and shocked by the closure of our wonderful theater. How could this happen without any discussion with the people who live here?

A Village without a Theater - is just a sad day.

The community is very disappointed that an agreement could not be made with Landmark to keep the Theatre after they made substantial improvements. To get the same quality movies as we can enjoy at the Nick and the Del Mar here in Aptos, we now have to go to downtown Santa Cruz.
This makes it convenient to shop in downtown Santa Cruz.
It seems short sighted economically on Terramar Centers part to not work to keep the Theatre as it is a draw to the Center. This is our community and it would be prudent to welcome community imput to build good will,
especially now that our Theatre is no longer in business.
Respectfully,

Our sleepy town nostalgic theatre has a special charm that fits in with the cozy feel of the community. We support local business and local farmers.

We need our Movie theatre! 41st street is a disaster and Watsonville is down the freeway and Cash only. We loved the night out deals they did with local restaurants, being able to sneak in to see each new movie when the marquee turned and having it be so close by! Super big bummer - as you "redo" the shopping center, please remember we like this being a small town look and feel and don't want the big chain stores that you have in your other centers.

The people of this community care about their local businesses and do not wish to see a bunch of non-local chain stores. The continuity of the tradition of local businesses is important to the residents of Aptos.

Bad move, Terramar. Neither the community nor the other tenants like what you're doing.

Your total disregard for our community will result in my family boycotting anything you build / place at Rancho. You don't deserve our community support.

I grew up going to this theater and now I have a family of my own of which my kids will never have had the great memories of this theater like I had. It's a shame and we want it back!
