We need a good, well designed, beginner friendly CONCRETE skatepark in the Ranches! The city is sponsoring a grant matching program to improve city land and parks. We would love to see a good skatepark in the Ranches making it accessible for kids who can't make it out to the city center skatepark because they don't have transportation other than their feet and their board. A well designed, beginner friendly park with features for all levels of skaters, scooters, and BMX bikes would provide an outlet for kids of all ages. If you are at all interested in seeing a skatepark built and are willing to help us get it built (through volunteering time, donations of money or supplies, rallying support, input into the design, location, flow of the park etc.) please sign this petition. Let's show the city that we want this for our growing community!

I have been hearing from so many families who just want a safe place for their kids to ride after school. It is humbling to see how much this community cares about providing a space for our local skaters.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum built around this idea for the Ranches. This shift is entirely due to your efforts and I am just lucky to be along for the ride.

I grew up skateboarding with my friends and would love to have a nice park to skate and teach my kids
My kids don't even skate and I want this skate park in the Ranches! So many teens here could use a good place to go skate/board/bike, etc. It will help keep them out of trouble. They are good kids, they just need some good recreation!
We really need something for the young adolescents in this area. It will invest the youth in the community and work to redirect activities to safer structures rather than parking lots and buildings.
My 8-yr old got a cute penny board for her birthday, but there's not a good place close by for her to have much fun with it. This would be amazing!
My kids would LOVE a skate park. And it would help cut down on the contunuing problem of kids skating where they aren't suppose to, like the churches and Ridley's. PLEASE BUILD A SKATE PARK IN THE RANCHES!

Skateparks are an awesome place for kids to get out and do something physical. It keeps them out of trouble and healthy. Cool communities get them.

We really need this. Anyone who is too young to drive is too small to traverse the distance to the CC park. My 9 year old and 13 year old love to skate. This would be well-used and loved by the kids in the Ranches.
