More tennis courts are needed in North Raleigh. Lake Lynn's measly 4 courts are nearly impossible to find an open court. Two of the courts seem to always being used for lessons during the week. This facility could easily be expanded to add another 4-8 courts which is desperately needed. Having additional courts north of I-540 would also be helpful since many players come this growing area. A bond to fund additional facilities as well as real bike paths alongside the roads would be much appreciated.

We most definitely need more tennis courts in Raleigh that do not come with a country club price tag.

I want to know something. What happened to the Southeast Raleigh Tennis Center? Let me guess. Mr. James West partnered up with some property developer who promised the moon to make himself look good (and throws a bone to SE Raleigh residents) while hotshot property developer greases the wheels at city council for future consideration. And as soon as city slicker exits stage left at city council meeting his commitment to raise $1M bones falls short, by, ah, well, $1M. So four years later, no courts. Meanwhile, city courts are falling apart and tennis director has no money to fix them? Now all the folks up there in North Raleigh are "raising a racket" and we cannot even break ground. More broken promises. I will sign this petition but by doing so, I hold City Council, Parks & Rec, James West and City Slicker responsible for raising money and building me my courts in the hood first!! Honor your commitment folks!

With all the divisions more courts are needed not only for those who play league tennis but for others who choose not to play league - it's nearly impossible for those folks to get a court! Shame on Raleigh for not being proactive and planning for more courts as our population continues to grow and we are only second to Atlanta in growth of the tennis community.

Of course we have a need for more courts in Raleigh, especially North Raleigh. I have been saying this for quite a while. Tennis is a sport that encompasses all age groups, from the very young to retirees. In the Spring, Summer and Fall it can be almost impossible to get a court and it is getting harder all the time.

Please also consider a facility that might be able to be converted for indoor play in the winter - Greensboro has a fantastic 8 court facility that hosts both youth and adult tournaments and city wide play

The Raleigh tennis community has grown so much over the past several years, we really need additional courts. With these additional courts we could hold tournaments which would bring in revenue into the local community.
