Please allocate existing funds to expand current facilities like Lake Lynn. It was slated to be a 15 court facility and the land has already been purchased and the additional 9 courts planned out thoughtfully in the long term plan. this would take the facility from running 1 staggered match in the Spring season to potentially carrying 3 complete matches at a time!! We also seriously need a Bond to be created to help us keep up with this growth. The USTA and it's sections have facility grants that we could also apply for to help supplement city funds. If we all band together, we can make this a reality!

City Council, please review the numbers and allocate appropriate funding. From 97' to 2014 Wake Co has grown 49% from 439,896 to 998,696, exceeding 1 million on Aug 22, 2014. Raleigh was higher with 55% growth; 255,857 to 570,540 residents. Use funds to expand current sites and compliment facilities like Leesville Library with courts. Williams parks has 2 courts with room to add another 3, which would create a location that could accommodate a 5 match Spring league.

Tennis is a sport for everyone of all ages. The benefits include physical, social and mental health. Raleigh is one of the fastest growing tennis communities in the country. Support to grow the sport for a lifetime is critical and needs your help. Thank You.

Creating more courts is a win for both area residents as well as the city as a whole due to the revenue these courts would generate. There has been huge growth in both the adult and youth tennis programs and to have to limit that growth due to lack of facilities would be a shame.

We are the capital city and the 2nd largest tennis population in the Southern region, only behind Atlanta. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities required to hold a state tournament here in Raleigh. We desperately need more courts.

We could definitely use some indoor courts. Raleigh Raquel club has a monopoly on providing indoor court time and the cost is astronomical. Please consider indoor courts as the city of Cary has.
