We, the undersigned, ask Auckland Council and Auckland Transport to work with Kiwi Rail to commence construction of Stage One of the Avondale-Southdown Line from Pak n Save Mt Albert to Dominion Rd Extn. This would establish a passenger rail service for the communities of Wesley, Owairaka, Mt Roskill, Roskill South, New Windsor, White Swan, Lynfield and Hillsborough

RAIL TO MT ROSKILL IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS SHOULD RAIL FROM AUCKLAND AIRPORT INTO TOWN CITY THEN TO NORTH SHORE, ITS TIME AUCKLAND RAIL WAS A PRIORITY OVER ROADS BY HAVING A GOOD RAIL SYSTEM LIKE SYDNEY AUSTRALIA E.T.C
404ppm of co2 and still climbing! People need low carbon transport options so build the train track.
I fully support this idea. As it also means that bicyles can be carried onboard.
I really think that the Waterfront needs a lot better and more efficient public transport - that is the one way to make a city preform at its highest abilities.
Having grown up in Lynfield, and lived in Europe for 10 years, I know that the only thing that can keep a city moving, or suffocate it, is cohesive public transport, or the lack therein of. Roskill needs this, and more, but this is a good plan to start with.

Heavy Rail is the only way to reduce congestion on the roads. I support this option.
