Not surprising, considering that I've experienced more racism in the Bay Area (Santa Cruz, San Francisco) than I have in Southern Arizona. Still, I would hope that the administration would respond in a more appropriate way.

Nothing to be proud of here. Now turn these kids around, help them celebrate diversity.

Having lived in Alabama shortly and seeing this type of behavior, I naturally had to double check this was in fact in California. Despicable. Systematic racism exists even where you least expect it.

I am quite appalled and hope the administration takes immediate action.

As a former teacher and now parent, this is extremely disappointing. The administration should be the first to stand up to these acts of racism. As a member of the south bay community I implore you to address these incidents immediately and keep your school and your students accountable for their demeaning and hateful actions.

As a member of the South Bay community, it is so upsetting to me that this happened in the first place, and also that it was treated so casually by administration. Please take real action to help real change come about: it is needed! Minority students deserve to feel safe at school, and a safe, respectful environment is crucial for real learning to take place. The offending students must be held accountable to the whole community and learn from this, lest they go out into the world as adults soon with such descriptive and bigoted attitudes.

This should have happened decades ago. Better late than never.

ALL children should be protected and feel safe while they are striving to attain a proper education. As a PROUD mother of a Mexican American child who will one day be attending Los Gatos High School I implore you to take action and fight any form of oppression. Thank you for your time.

Disgusting. We must teach these children whether or not they meant wrong that institutionalized racism isnt right.

It sounds like ignorance has made a home here, too. I agree that the school needs to make a big declaration of abhorance to this sort of behavior and continue to be vigilant protecting the students from such stupid attitudes.

My heart sank when reading this. The situation needs to be addressed immediately by the school and by the parents. We're better than this! Do not let this be your legacy! Michelle Jessen Class of 1983

As an alumnus and a breathing human, I am horrified to hear that blatantly racist incidents such as these are occurring at LGHS and would go publicly unpunished!! Basically, LGHS admin is sweeping this under the rug, and I won't stand for that! Thank you, Kris and Wendy, for bringing this issue of racism to light and demanding that we, as a society, be educated and justice be brought to those involved.

Please do not just let this incident "go away", there needs to be serious follow-up on this shameful issue. Thank you
