Racist "Promposal" Incidents at Los Gatos High

We are in great need of anti-racist literacy across this nation. This is an opportunity for the entire school community to face racism in society and school and to work everyday to wrestle it to the ground.

Zero tolerance for such incidents

If this action was presented by African American students everything this group is proposing would be honored & those students would have been expelled without question.

Failure to respond in a timely manner allow for the circumstances to persevere. The victim and the victimizers need the responsible staff to act.

I urge the school and the community of Los Gatos to erase Racism by taken concrete action . IGNORANCE is not an excuse for Racism !

The ignorance of the students and the indifference of the administration are unacceptable

This overt racism is entirely unacceptable and the High School should take immediate action to communicate their position statement and plan of action for the coming academic year and future years to the entire Los Gatos Community as soon as possible.

I am neither alumni nor parent at LGHS, but as someone who has worked with children and adolescents for the past 20+ years, I find this very disturbing and urgently encourage that this be addressed with students.

This is a horrible situation that demands immediate attention. The actions of these students are very harmful.

I know the district administrators and presidents of the school board were made aware of a racist issues by me and did nothing, even with me exploring them to meet with me to try to help remediate the administrators actions and lack of actions. Thank you for this petition.

This is appalling and should not be tolerated. This IS racism.

While many in this country have ignored the values of unity & diversity as opposed racism lately, that makes it all the more imperative that racist behavior not be condoned by neglect or the idea that "it was just a joke." It is the school administration's responsibility to apply appropriate consequences for unacceptable behavior and make it clear why it's unacceptable to the student body and the surrounding community.

Very disturbing facts, how can this is allowed.

This is not the kind of alma mater I want to be associated with, nor is it the LGHS I remember. Please put an end to this! Shame...

This is disgusting. What kind of children are being raised that would draw this....think it's funny...then be so arrogant as to think we would believe they didn't know what they were doing or meant it well. Give me a break. These "children" will live in the world for a half a millisecond and trust me, this kind of crap will be scared right out of them.

So sad to see LGHS - my Al Mamateaur not take this more seriously - there is a such thing as a joke and then there are jokes gone too far !
