We urge New York State legislators to make the reforms necessary to enable New York to have a truly competitive grant for the second round of Race to the Top Funds. These reforms include: *remove the cap on the amount of charter schools in new york *allow student academic performance to be used in teacher evaluations. New York needs reform and needs these precious federal dollars during this state fiscal crisis. Let our childrend "race to the top" by enabling New York to win these Race to the Top grant funds!
