When will you remove items associated with male abusers? Leave the cult and stop silencing and erasing women. Men cannot put on a frock and slap and magically turn into women.

It should be beyond belief that the RA would act in this manner. This attack on an artist is utterly depressing .

Jess isn't transphobic, she's sticking up for women and girls, especially the most vulnerable, who have pushed aside in this virtual land grab. Humans are a diamorphic species, however we present.

Shameful behaviour by the RA - believing that sex matters and defending women's sex-based rights is not transphobic.

You have discriminated against a woman for her beliefs which are protected in law. Jess has never been hateful or transphobic. A shocking decision which should be reversed immediately.

RA is a disgrace. How to lose funding.

It’s ridiculous that the Royal Academy have taken the decision to not stock Jess De Wahls work because of her expressed views, non of which are hateful. Just a daft decision.

Jess de Wahls has not broken any UK law and has only expressed a viewpoint. I am horrified that this should lead to the RA banning the sale of her work. Is the RA now considering exploring the opinions of all the artists on display and removing works by those artists whose views they disagree with? I fear that the institution would lose most of its collection. This, however, would be the next logical step for the RA after this unacceptable and unreasonable censorship. This is the "thought police" at work.

The RA's cancellation of this artist is extraordinary. She hasn't demeaned or derided trans people she has just stated a biological fact. It's extraordinary that whomever at the RA took this decision is either too stupid to understand this or too craven to care. Shame on them.

The RAA should reinstate Jess De Walls work in their gift shop. Art should transcend the stupid bigotry of identity and gender politics.

Shame on the R.A for its moral regression and cowardice with the activist metro-elite diktat. I shall not renew my membership neither shall I contribute until this “Commission” presents the artist its excuses.

I am hoping to go to the RA this morning and have a ticket but I will avoid the shop . This action on the part of the RA is mis judged.
