I thought we had free speech in this country? I y we had science? I thought we had sex based rights?

This artist has written a legal essay and bigoted complainants should not be allowed to have caused her work to be removed from this renowned institution. NW

Why does the Royal Academy perpetuate mysogony by silencing a female artist voice? Jess has not broken any laws, or made threats yet male mysogonist artists whi have abused women are celebrated.

The RA have deplatformed a woman for stating biological fact. She expressed her views in a respectful, measured and sensitive way but like many disagree that sex is a spectrum and interchangeable. I’m sure this wonderful feminist artist will be find many outlets to sell her work in the future. The RA have tried to silence Jess De Wahls and in doing so have shown the public how willing they are to stop female artists from speaking out and sharing their opinions. The question is that if the RA reconsider their decision will Jess or any female artists want to be associated or represented by an institution that was so willing to deplatform an artist for expressing such a view? We must stand up and be counted and support Jess and the many other women who are having their voices silenced.

The hypocrisy of the RA knows no bounds. Fine to stok images by artists who abused children but not by women who say sex is real?

Yet another example of “woke” cancel culture against the common sense views of the vast majority.

Legal action will right some of the wrongs done to many women and men for simply stating truths. But it won’t undo the damage done to reputation nor the strain from such public, unfair attacks, used to threaten violence and worse by those emboldened by these Maoist denunciations. It can’t give back all the precious time lost in this fight to retain rights that were won a long time ago. Solidarity to Jess and all the others treated so egregiously in the name of “kindness”.

The decision not to show this woman’s work is cowardly and totally ill judged. It should be reversed immediately

Enough of the bullying and discrimination against people who stand up for women’s rights and assert the biological reality of sex. Reinstate de Wahl’s work with an apology for having removed it.

So sad that this should be needed. Good luck.

Art should be about challenging the consensus. Jess's views are also protected in law.

The trustees and Governors need to put a stop to this and apologise to all the women who have supported the RA . I have no hate for any group .
