QueensRail - Better Transportation for Queens

I whole heartedly support any type of reactivation of rail service along the Rockaway Beach Right-of-Way whether it be LIRR or NYC Subway. It's a rail link Queens desperately needs. It will take people off the Q53 bus, one of the most crowded lines in the borough. It will offer more direct service to JFK rather than taking the A train who takes over an hour to reach JFK and has to traverse Brooklyn in between.

These tracks have been a disaster for too long. A young boy died on those tracks in 1967. Queens has plenty of beautiful parks. Especially Forest Park. The people of NYC deserve access to use a city beach. Rockaway. A train is a good alternative to driving congestion and the A line subway. Do it already....

This section of Queens needs more transit options. It would be great if this train could connect to the EFMR at 71st Ave-Forest Hills. I realize that the current tracks don't connect, but it's just a few blocks away. Additional construction would be worth it for the payoff.

It's time for south queens to have some transportation options. Travel to midtown shouldn't require a trip through Brooklyn and downtow!

The M train line is one of the most undeserved lines in the city. Overcrowding, consistent delays, no adherence to scheduling. Glendale and Ridgewood residents need reliable transportation to Manhattan!

This is critical for the area of Rockaway Beach. A 2 hour commute to midtown is insane!

We need this mode of transportation desperately.

There is no other possible answer to our transit needs and to contribute less to climate change. The track are already there!

Tired of all the traffic on Woodhaven Blvd the new bus lanes just made it worse

Woodhaven Blvd. is at a standstill every evening from the LIE south to Metropolitan Ave even with the red Bus Lane, only a rail line could handle the growing Queens population.

Make NYC great with more public transportation, less pollution and a smaller carbon footprint.

I may no longer live in Woodhaven, but commuted to Manhattan for years. I would have killed for that train, over a schlep on the Q11. The traffic on Woodhaven Blvd. is out of control. Taking away lanes for SBS, along with the removal of stops is ridiculous.
