The Greyhound participants have and still are being treated with contempt by Racing Queensland, the Government and the Media, we have been denied a just hearing.
We have also been denied the right to the funds allocated for a replacement one turn track.

I would welcome an actual investigation to actually see how these other so called rescues are run ...they admit they dont check the greyhounds into their care no checking of ownership nor scanning for microchips etc and refusing to return stolen dogs to their owner .how is it they can get away with theft falsifying documents and then have the gall to attack greyhound industry

The greyhound industry is being used discriminated and lied about by minority groups who have no idea of what they are talking about. The lies are being used by the sensationalist media. It is beyond libelous.

Yes there is drugs in the greyhound industry!!! dont push it under the carpet!! Do something about it!!!! It should be if your dog comes up with a positive swab you should automatically banned for life!! Simple! And if that happens you might just start seeing more people wanting to become apart of greyhound racing again

I have spoken with many of the older trainers who only have 2 - 3 dogs, they have said that when their dogs of finished racing they will be out of the game.
Brendan you are doing a good job and I think you will find that a lot of others trainers and participants will stand behind you. Darryl Trembath

Turnover on greyhound racing outperforms the other two codes, in the 2014 year t/o in Qld was $597 million, up $85 million on previous year. Since the ABC expose greyhound owners, trainers and breeders have had no representation on any official basis to defend their industry. Unless there is one strong voice, not a quasi group mostly made up of race clubs with self interest its priority, we will continue to prostituted by the other codes. Harness and thoroughbred reps wouldn't cop what we have been handed out. The QGBOTA needs to urgently get its act together and do what it was constituted to do more than 50 years ago - represent greyhound owners, trainers ad breeders.

If animal welfare is such a priority then why hasn't Logan been built. I have had to retire 4 dogs so far this year due to the bend starts. Enough is enough, you want owners and trainers to be accountable now its time for racing and the government to do the same thing.
