Victor Hugo's 19th century remark, "He who opens a school door closes a prison," still holds true today. We are underinvesting in public education, in our teachers, in arts and sports programmes, etc and it's time we correct this. We need strong public education. Please support Quality Education!

I will fight for the teachers and students. I fought when enrollment was cut and I will fight for this! Education is important. We entrust these teachers with most of our childrens lives to teacher them and mold them into young adults.

Loss of codes disadvantages all - the children that need assistance, those that don't, and the teacher doing his/her best to teach. Number of students per class - there has to be a maximum and there is an optimum number to be fully efffective.

The cuts are not only hurting the teachers and administration now. The students in the classroom are being drastically impacted. As a teacher ,I love having special needs students in my class, however, I don't enjoy watching them struggle when they are not getting the NEEDED amount of help they deserve to thrive in an inclusive class. Rather than decrease our help for these students PLEASE increase the help. It will benefit society in the long run!

I do not wish to see an increase in the number of students per class. However, after seeing an interview with our former Prime Minister ,Paul Martin, I think we have a more pressing need as he pointed out that, since the First Nations peoples are the largest growing segment of our Canadian population, we should be spending, at the very least, the SAME amount of money on them as we spend on the rest of our youth. He pointed out that at present this is not the case. Therefore, I wish for this discrepancy to be resolved before we spend more of the SAME taxpayers dollars on the " more privileged" segments of our Canadian society.

More and more students are falling through the "cracks", because of this I have a job teaching high school in adult ed to students as young as 16. Do you not think that there is a preexisting problem that will just be exasperated if we continue on this path?
