Us as students need at least two weeks to be able to sleep and spend time with families during the stress of school and being allowed these two extra days will really benefit us.

The brain needs time to recuperate, especially for high school students. Our work and stress load is too much to handle sometimes, and I think it's safe to say that every single one of us has a major sleep debt. If the brain doesnt have time to decompress after a while it starts to create long-term mental and physical health problems. More school time doesnt always equal bettee education, because with that much stress and not much of a break, our brain doesnt process everything we've learned. Our memory is also affected as well as metabolic processes and hormones. Students need time to recuperate and 2 weeks is literally bare minimum.

I think we should go back to school the next Monday, there is no point of 2 days at school, 1 day for each class. If you are taking away the midterm half days it is only fair to extend our winter break. Remember how you felt when you were a child? Let's not pass on a bad baton

Each year winter break seems to get shorter and shorter. Which means less time with family that some only see once a year, catch up on homework, have time to spend with friends, and be able to have time to rest to be able to be our best once school starts up again. Though winter break seems much too short for some, high school students at least had the week of mid-term half days to look forward to. But now that those are gone, asking for 2 more days of winter break in exchange for 5 extra teaching days seems reasonable. That gives students time to recuperate from travels to family by the time school starts and be able to be fully attentive in class, instead of the possibility of people not being able to come to school or students being way too distracted to learn since they are still hyped up from the holidays. Plus that one week of teaching would be much more beneficial to students learning than 2 days after a break and then having a weekend. Please consider our proposal.

I feel this is very unfair and those few day the teachers use to grade extra work and most of the students won't even come to school for two days.
