What's the point with going back for 2 days kids will skip or miss due to traveling for the holiday. I love in New York and our schools are closed these 2 days.

Going back would be pointless. People will not be back in time, they will be on vacation still till the weekend. All everyone wants for school to start on that Monday after Thursday & Wednesday.

Frankly, kids need more time learning. I can see these days in school wasted on movies or parties. Whatever. We need a petition for a longer school year. We're not farmers anymore.

We will not accomplish anything with a 2 day school week. Please extend the winter break 2 days. That is all we ask.

Make the 2 days back workdays if they need hours. Not much we can teach the half class that actually shows up on the 2nd and 3rd

I am thinking a lot of families probably won't be back from their vacations and won't rush knowing that school re-opens on a Thursday...
