PWCS Nondiscrimination Policy

More discussion is needed before this should come to a vote. Also - we need to make sure each district is represented...Brenstville is currently not represented with a school board member. The temporary replacement needs to be set and caught up to speed on all the issues the school board is working on before any policy changes are made.

The safety of ALL children have not been considered. Rushing a huge decision as this one shows irresponsibility in the care of all our children.

Please delay this vote. More research is needed. Thank you. A "disorder" as you called it requures more than a bathroom ..it requires counseling and much more

Allowing boys and girls the ability to choose what bathroom/ locker and even the possible room to share is asking for trouble. This is infringing on the students privacy and even cause more issues of harassment, and other forms of abuse. This is opening pandora a box and once open almost impossible to close! VOTE NO!!!

My #1 concern will always be the safety of my children. The board doesn't have enough substantive information yet to figure out how to keep ALL children safe, which must include girls who don't feel safe sharing a locker with boys. In addition, a vote is absolutely inappropriate until the Brentsville district has representation on the board. To vote on such a controversial matter without full information and without representation for ALL districts is itself discriminatory. If the board is trying to avoid discrimination, don't discriminate against Brentsville by voting prematurely. It's taxation without representation!

My Vote as the non-discrimination policy stands now is a very clear NO. I also live in the Brentsville District and don't feel it fair we don't get to vote.

There are better solutions than passing this proposal, which infringes on the rights and privacy of the majority of Prince William County students.

While I do not condone discrimination I feel this law will put innocent children in unsafe situations. Please reconsider. The safety of tens of thousands of children should not be compromised for the few. Perhaps neutral gender bathrooms can be established for those who need them, while keeping the male and female bathrooms as is.

I am against the revision of the nondiscrimination policy

This proposed change does not provide adequate privacy, security and safety to students who identify to their physical gender, which is the greatest majority of students. A fair solution to all parties needs to be identified.

Please do NOT pass this, at least not at this time when Brentsville is not even seated.

The soul is at stake First is the revealed, restored doctrine of the human soul. One of the “plain and precious” truths restored in this dispensation is that “the spirit and the body are the soul of man” (D&C 88:15)

I petition that the Prince William County School Board postpone a proposed vote on the new nondiscrimination policy until thoughtful consideration has addressed all the legal and social implications of said policy change.

We need to protect and keep our children safe. This policy change would be detrimental to the wellbeing of our children.

Focus on the needs of all of the children not a select few. Put Prince William County on the map for our academic performance and programs rather than a focus on sexual identity and involuntary sex education.

First, I believe this issue has such high moral, ethical, educational and financial stakes that it is imperative that the School Board take ample time to research, deliberate, and allow public hearing and discourse to take place before passing any changes to current policy. I do not believe there are any widespread negative impacts on our education by the policy as it currently stands. The change in question has great potential to incur significant consequences and adversely affect many more students. Our children must not be treated as a social experiment. Secondly, Brentsville is not currently represented on the School Board, and must be before sweeping policy changes are made that will affect that area as well as the rest.

This is not right. Please do not brainwash our kids.

I feel strongly that this needs to be a more thought out decision and not thrust upon the general public as quickly as it has been. We have no problem as of yet with this type of issue and I feel that we the people need to be heard, not for selfish political reasons, but we must make morally correct decisions to protect our children and our entire community.

I am not in favor of the "transgenger" verbiage being added to the PWC school policy.
